Sheep-to-Shawl Event & Silent Auction

to benefit Autism Speaks.

 When?

 Saturday, April 13, 2013 10:00 am 5:00 pm

Auction for completed Shawls will be held Sunday April 14, 2013 - 3:00 pm

 

The Silent Auction will be on display from April 7^th – 13^th.

Bidding will close at 4:00 pm Saturday April 13^th.

Sheep to Shawl Event

Saturday, April 13^th

All in a days work…

A Sheep-to-Shawl is an event where a group of fiber artists gather to create a shawl from a raw fleece all in one day. The group begins with a raw, sheared fleece. The wool will be picked, carded and then spun into yarn. The yarn is then passed to the weavers & knitters to be transformed into completed shawls.  

The Sheep to Shawl event begins at 10:00 am - shawls will be completed by 5:00 pm

 

The shawls will be auctioned Sunday, April 14^th at 3:00 pm 

Silent Auction

                    April 7^th – 13^th

 Shop hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat:10am to 5pm, Sun: noon to 5pm, Wed:10am to 9pm

Our Silent Auction will feature hand-knit & woven fiber fashions & related accessories.  

We are still accepting knitted & woven items to be donated for the event.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Autism Speaks.

KNITTING GATHERINGS

 

Knitters gather at TWIST on Wednesdays during the day beginning after 10 am

and again in the evening after 6 pm.  All are welcome. 

There is also a Sunday gathering during the day, any time after noon.  

We often find a full living room on Mondays and Saturdays. All are welcome then as well. 

 

 

 

 

SUNDAY SPIN-INS 

 

Join like minded spinners the last Sunday of every month

 from 12 to 5 to spin at TWIST!  Beginners join us to get pointers

 from the more seasoned spinners who are always eager

to share their talents.
